Retro Birthday Cake

I love the green/blue/brown color combo's in this cake. They make me happy.

Mommy and Me Mini Cake

A very good Mommy ordered this for her and her little boy to share. He had just started Kindergarten....the cutest thing ever to see his face light up when they came to pick it up!
" Callie, The cake was AMAZING!!! I actually ate the rest of it for dinner last night. Not healthy, but definitely the best tasting dinner I've ever had! I'll order another (larger) cake for my work sometime in September. I'm sure I will be the favorite for a while after that :) - Kari B.

Puff the Magic Dragon Cake

This was probably my favorite cake to make so far. I thought the theme was really fun! An older man ordered this for his 65 year old friend's birthday! The gentleman was nicknamed "Puff", so he wanted a Puff themed cake! I figured since "Puff the Magic Dragon lived by the sea", it should be a sea theme. I think it turned out really fun and cute, right down to the "charred" mini birthday cake nestled in his tail ;) The cake itself was chocolate sponge with pistachio filling. I was nervous about baking sponge cake at our high altitude, but I used a good recipe and it came out great! :) Yay, for good baking days!

Flower Power Birthday Cake

A very nice husband ordered this for his wife's birthday. He said she had her heart set on a fondant cake, and he was going to get her one! He told me her favorite colors, but gave me creative freedom to design it. I thought it would be fun to make it bright and cheerful! The cake was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Princess Cake

This cake was for a little girl's first birthday party. Her very nice Aunt ordered it for her, and I think the Aunt enjoyed it more than the little girl!! The most fun was making the little tiara, slipper, and purse...she wanted even more trinkets, but I ran out of time!

Black and White Wedding Cake

The bride wanted the cake to match the colors she was wearing to the reception....black, and hot pink! hey didn't want a traditional cake, so I think the bold shapes and bright pink bows still added some pizazz without over doing it.....I hope anyway!! It was a fun cake to make. Each layer was a different flavor which made it a challenge to get it done in time!!

"Everyone loved the cake! You did an awesome job of recreating the wedding cake from the picture. I only got one little taste of the top and it was divine! I would certainly recommend you to anyone who is looking for a special cake." - Roxi J.

Cake for Two!

A lady was planning a romantic dinner for her husband (how sweet!), and wanted a special "mini" cake just for the two of them. We came up with a black and pink polka dot theme. The cake was deep chocolate with chocolate buttercreme. The names were hand painted with black gel dye.

Butterfly garden cake

I made this for a client's sister's birthday party. She loved my tinkerbell cake, but wanted a butterfly to sit in the flower instead of Tinkerbell....I hand painted the Monarch butterfly with edible gel dye. The cake itself was a 4 layer, deep chocolate with alternating rasberry preserves/ chocolate buttercreme mousse. YUM!!
"The cake was the talk of the party! Everyone loved it! We didn't want to cut in to it, but when we finally did, it was excellent cake! Thank you!" - Tracy A.
