A very nice husband ordered this for his wife's birthday. He said she had her heart set on a fondant cake, and he was going to get her one! He told me her favorite colors, but gave me creative freedom to design it. I thought it would be fun to make it bright and cheerful! The cake was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Black and White Wedding Cake
The bride wanted the cake to match the colors she was wearing to the reception....black, and hot pink! hey didn't want a traditional cake, so I think the bold shapes and bright pink bows still added some pizazz without over doing it.....I hope anyway!! It was a fun cake to make. Each layer was a different flavor which made it a challenge to get it done in time!!

Butterfly garden cake
I made this for a client's sister's birthday party. She loved my tinkerbell cake, but wanted a butterfly to sit in the flower instead of Tinkerbell....I hand painted the Monarch butterfly with edible gel dye. The cake itself was a 4 layer, deep chocolate with alternating rasberry preserves/ chocolate buttercreme mousse. YUM!!
"The cake was the talk of the party! Everyone loved it! We didn't want to cut in to it, but when we finally did, it was excellent cake! Thank you!" - Tracy A.

Range Rover Cake
This was a doozy!! I had a request from a party planning business to create a 3D Range Rover cake for a girls 16th birthday party. The clients had given their daughter a Range Rover for her birthday, and wanted the cake to go along with the gift! Yikes! The big obstacle was that a) I had never done anything like this before, and b) I had less than 48 hours to do it!! It took me 2 full days and in to the night to finish the cake. When I delivered it to their house I was dismayed to find that the back had slipped off the cake during transport! I worked some magic and performed surgery on the cake before the clients saw it! Phew! It wasn't perfect, but the clients loved it, and the daughter said it was "SO TIGHT!!" (That's good, right?) The cake was red velvet with buttercream frosting, and fed over 100. It was much bigger in real life!

Autumn Bridal shower cake
The bride's colors were "cognac and espresso", and the hostess wanted those colors incorporated on to the bow of a "wrapped gift" cake. The cake was deep chocolate with buttercream frosting. I pearlized the fondant bow and pearls around the edges to give them a satin appearance. I also twisted wire in to a circular pattern and gently pressed it on to the bow to add texture and interest. I used a tiny circle fondant cutter to press the polka dot pattern in to the white fondant.
